Honda Aircraft Company has recently confirmed the successful competition of the first flight of its FAA-conforming HondaJet advanced light business jet. On December 20, 2010, the HondaJet remained in the air for 51 minutes, during which time they analyzed the aircraft’s flight characteristics and performance. System checks were also done. While Honda enters the flight test program with the HondaJet, its aircraft production facility on its Greensboro campus is also nearing its completion. Honda has plans to begin delivering the $4.5 million aircraft in 2012.
